hop at Whitmore Farm - where you can find pasture-raised meats, eggs in multitudes of colors, and in the warmer months, a sizeable vegetable garden suppplying a nice selection or organic produce.
All of our animals are raised humanely, on pasture and guaranteed free of hormones, antibiotics, or artificial supplements. No animal-byproducts are fed to our vegetarian friends and we feed no corn or other grains to our ruminants, only natural grass, forage and hay.
All of our pastures and hay are certified organic by the State of Maryland, which means we use no artificial fertilizers or herbicides on our grass pastures.
Forage is a mix of many types of grasses, weeds, wildflowers, bramble & scrub, and brassicas like turnip and swede.
