hop at Whitmore Farm - where you can find a variety of pasture-raised meats and eggs, and in the warmer months, a nice selection or organic produce.
All of our animals are raised humanely, on pasture and guaranteed free of hormones, antibiotics, or artificial supplements. No animal by-products are fed to our vegetarian friends. We feed only natural grass, forage and hay.
All of our pastures and hay are certified organic by the State of Maryland, which means we use no artificial fertilizers or herbicides on our grass pastures. Forage is a mix of many types of grasses, weeds, wildflowers, bramble & scrub, and brassicas like turnip and swede.
Please e-mail to check for availability of specific meats and cuts. The farm store is open 9-3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. May 8th through October 30th, we are at the Glover Park/Burleith Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9-1:00 PM. And, June 19th through October 30th, we will also be at the FreshFarm Bethesda Farmers Market on Saturdays 9-1:00 PM.
