he Whitmore Home and property was in need of a lot of work. Exterior work involved stripping the house of 3 layers of siding, lifting the house on steel i-beams so that a new foundation could be poured, replaced the bottom course of chestnut hewn log with antique replacement chestnut, rebuilding the 3 chimneys and rechinking the log. In the future we hope to add back a front porch and reside the house with beaded siding, as was customary when the house was built.
