eritage Turkeys have free range at Whitmore Farm. In the evening, these friendly birds settle into their own ark.
In 2006 we raised Standard Bronze, White Holland, Royal Palm, and Slate turkeys. In 2007 we raised Chocolate, Narragansett, and a different bloodline of Standard Bronze. Both years, the Standard Bronze consistently out performed the other varieties in size and carcass quality. So, we decided to focus on the Standard Bronze for our breeding program.

Standard Bronze turkeys are probably what most people think of when they picture a turkey. It was the predominate turkey raised on farms until the white turkey took over in mid-20th century. The goal of our breeding program is a solid, meaty bird with good foraging instinct.

It was FABULOUS! I brined it then convection roasted it (3.25 hrs) and it was very
tasty. We were sort of afraid that there wouldn't be enough white meat, so

I just wanted to write you a quick note
to let you know that the heritage turkey was fantastic!
We brined it like you recommended and it was possibly the juiciest,
most flavorful turkey that we have ever eaten! The lamb and fresh eggs
were also very good (had a couple of double yolk ones!). We wish that we
